Veggie Grill

Last week my travels to me to Woodland Hills, CA! Of course, I wanted to find some awesome Vegetarian/ Vegan spots to visit while I was in town. I happened upon a chain of restaurants called Veggie Grill! OMG, It was fabulous. The atmosphere was great, the staff was very helpful and polite and the food was amazing. My first visit in Encino was so great I visited the restaurant again at The Village in Topanga. Each time my experience was top notch. On my first visit, I tried the Veggie Burger with the Sweet Potato Fries. First, let me say that I am a Veggie Burger Connoisseur and have only experienced a few that keep me going back. This burger was made of quinoa, mushrooms, black beans and soy. It was topped with Chao Cheese.  It was amazing.  I absolutely hate mushrooms but my hostess convinced me that I wouldn't be able to taste them. Guess what? She was right! NO hint of mushrooms at all. It was well seasoned, nice sized, and all around full of goodness. It came with a chipotle ranch that was great on the burger and as a dipping sauce for my sweet potato fries.

On my second visit I tried the Santa Fe Crispy 'Chicken' Sandwich with Yukon Gold Fries. It was great. Of course, when I tried it I automatically searched for the Chicken taste. There wasn't one. I think my mind convinced me that the patty would taste like an ol fashion Chuck Wagon, but it was none of that. It was a good seasoned patty that owned a unique taste of its own.

Each meal was very filling and left you leaving nothing to be desired. I was so excited I immediately started looking for locations in Atlanta where I live. Unfortunately for me, they are CA Based. So, if you are ever in CA please visit Veggie Grill. veggiegrill.com. 4 out of 5 forks.

Greetings

Welcome to the V Spot! I'm Ursula S. Kelly, your gracious host. Before we dive in to the delectable world of Vegetarian/ Vegan Cuisine, let me tell you a little about myself. I love food! I love cooking. In my opinion the two are one in the same. I am always game to try new dishes and establishments. Exploration is the zest of life.

One thing I learned as a young child, is that having a love for food and weight gain often parallel each other.  At my heaviest I was 275 pounds. I was cute but not the healthiest. As a young person, It was my mission to lose weight and make the people around me proud. It wasn't until I made an adult decision to get healthy for me and only me,  that the pounds started to melt away. I've learned over the years that gimmicky diets and fads don't work. I realized that I didn't put the weight on in two days, so I couldn't expect to take it all off in two days. Slow and steady wins the race. A lifestyle change is what I needed to change my life. I decided to explore a Vegetarian lifestyle and have begun experimenting with vegetarian recipes. However, I am so busy that cooking all the time is impossible, plus my travel schedule has picked up.  I need places to eat away from home and during my travels. You may have decided to adopt this lifestyle for vastly different reasons. However you got here, Welcome! This blog will explore awesome vegetarian / vegan places to eat and have a great, healthy soul experience.

Here's to you, the person who has decided to take steps toward a healthier, happier you. Cheers to you, the person who will boldly explore options outside of your comfort zone and live free! Kudos to you, the unapologetic phenom we all know and love who will eagerly jump at new opportunities. I look forward to serving you all. Good Eats!
